What is the FAFSA?

The FAFSA is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. Students’ receiving financial aid need to fill out the FAFSA every year they are enrolled. The 2021-2022 FAFSA opened up Oct. 1, 2020. I strongly encourage you to fill out the FAFSA when it opens in the fall - this will ensure your school prioritizes your financial aid and maximizes your potential federal funding. It also gives you time to trouble shoot any unexpected obstacles! I have included some FAFSA resources below that can help you with the FAFSA application. I am a resource for you to answer basic questions about the FAFSA and to help you connect with your school's specific financial aid office.
